November 13th

Walberswick: two Black Redstarts on the north side of the green.

Alde Estuary: 25 Greater White-fronted Geese.

Orford: a male Black Redstart at Chantry Meadow.

Landguard: two Purple Sandpipers and a Merlin in off.

Holbrook Bay: Bewick's Swan and a Black-necked Grebe on the Stour, viewed looking south from the east side of Holbrook Creek.

 

November 12th

Southwold: offshore, seven Little Gulls north, a Pomarine Skua north, an adult SABINE'S GULL north and a Sooty Shearwater north.

Walberswick: 12 Snow Buntings south of the beach car park.

Minsmere: a Snow Bunting on the beach near the end of the North Wall. A Water Pipit on West Scrape.

 

November 11th

Benacre: four Snow Buntings at the Broad.

Walberswick: a Black Redstart on the north side of the green.

Dingle Marsh: a Firecrest in a hedge where the double gates views the pony pool.

Minsmere: a Snow Bunting still on the beach. Curlew Sandpiper and Water Pipit on West Scrape.

North Warren: four Pink-footed Geese on North Marsh.

Hollesley Marsh: 17 Greater White-fronted Geese on the scrape.

Landguard: a Snow Bunting flew to the point.

Trimley Marsh: the AMUR STONECHAT still present.

 

November 10th

Dingle Marsh: a Jack Snipe on the shore pools.

Minsmere: at least three Water Pipits from North hide, Jack Snipe and two Water Pipits on West Scrape and a Black-necked Grebe on Island Mere.

Landguard: one Snow Bunting near the seawatch hide and two Purple Sandpipers at the point.

Trimley Marsh: the AMUR STONECHAT still present on the reserve plus a juvenile ROUGH-LEGGED BUZZARD reported over the reserve towards Shotley. Three Cattle Egrets flew past the Stonechat spot.

Shotley: six Cattle Egrets on Shotley Marshes.

Swilland: a Hawfinch.

Kessingland: six Snow Buntings on north beach between The Hollies and Crazy Mary's Hole.

Minsmere: a Grey Phalarope again present, a Slavonian Grebe on the sea and a Snow Bunting north of the sluice.

Boyton Marsh: a Merlin.

Landguard: three Purple Sandpipers at the point.

Trimley Marsh: the AMUR STONECHAT still present on the reserve plus a Black Redstart.

 

November 8th

Lowestoft: a Black Redstart at Ness Point.

Minsmere: a Grey Phalarope in the surf 100m north of the Sluice and a Snow Bunting on the beach to the south.

Trimley Marsh: the AMUR STONECHAT still present on the reserve plus four Pink-footed Geese over.

Shotley: Black-throated Diver and a Slavonian Grebe on the Stour.

 

November 7th

Bungay: HOOPOE flew over Rose Hall Gardens.

Eastern Bavents: a Yellow-browed Warbler at western end of footpath to Reydon.

Trimley Marsh: the AMUR STONECHAT still present on the reserve.

Ipswich: two Ravens over Stoke Park Drive towards Bobbits Lane Meadow.

 

November 6th

Corton: the female SERIN still at the old sewage works. Two Velvet Scoters on the sea off Radar Lodge.

Kessingland: five Snow Buntings on the beach opposite the Yellow House.

Benacre: a female SERIN in the hedgerow at the top of the track by the entrance to Beach Farm.

Dingle Marsh: a Yellow-browed Warbler in the wood just south of Dingle Little Hill.

Slaughden: Purple Sandpiper.

Boyton Marsh: three Hawfinches briefly then flew north-east.

Trimley Marsh: the AMUR STONECHAT still present on the reserve plus eight Cattle Egrets and three Black Redstarts.

November 5th

Corton: a female SERIN on the western edge of the old sewage works.

Southwold: a female/first-winter Black Redstart by the harbour mouth plus a Snow Bunting.

Slaughden: Purple Sandpiper.

Orford: two Black Redstarts at Chantry Meadows.

Gedgrave Marsh: 13 Cattle Egrets present.

Trimley Marsh: the AMUR STONECHAT still present on the reserve. Both Little Stint and Water Pipit on the Summer Flood plus six Hawfinches over.

 

November 4th

Lowestoft: a juvenile Arctic Skua north off Ness Point. and a Pomarine Skua north then landed on the sea.

Southwold: a Pomarine Skua north and three Goosanders (2f, 1m) south.

Dingle Marsh: a Spoonbill on the shore pools.

Westleton Heath: a Ring Ouzel in the deer field.

Minsmere: a Pomarine Skua north, two Jack Snipe and two Water Pipits on West Scrape and a Caspian Gull on East Scrape. Two Firecrests along the rhododendron tunnel.

Hollesley Marsh: 15 Greater White-fronted Geese and a ringtail Hen Harrier.

Landguard: Yellow-browed Warbler trapped and ringed at LBO plus a Siberian Chiffchaff.

Trimley Marsh: an AMUR STONECHAT still present on the reserve.

Shotley: three Cattle Egrets 300 yards north from Shotley Marina.

 

November 3rd

Kessingland: five Snow Buntings by the shore pools.

Southwold: a Sooty Shearwater north, a Velvet Scoter south and a Pomarine Skua south.

Blythburgh: seven Whooper Swans NNE from footpath at rear of the White Hart Pub.

Dunwich: Short-eared Owl south offshore.

Minsmere: four Velvet Scoters south, a Black-throated Diver offshore and an Arctic Tern north.

Thorpeness: a Velvet Scoter south and a Pomarine Skua south. A single Hawfinch north over the OCP and four Snow Buntings north along the beach.

Boyton: five Hawfinches over.

Hollesley Marsh: Short-eared Owl, an adult Yellow-legged Gull and a first-winter Caspian Gull.

Bawdsey: two Black Redstarts at East Lane.

Bawdsey Quay: two Firecrests at the picnic site.

Trimley Marsh: an EASTERN STONECHAT species present.

Stowmarket: a single Hawfinch over Redwing Drive.

Lackford: a young Spoonbill on the Slough.

 

November 2nd

Carlton Marsh: two Hawfinches north over.

Benacre: two Purple Sandpipers on the pillbox by the beach.

Southwold: three Sooty Shearwaters offshore in the morning and five in the afternoon. A Short-eared Owl south offshore and a Leach's Petrel.

Minsmere: two Short-eared Owls and two Sooty Shearwaters north. A Black-throated Diver north and a drake Goosander on the Scrape.

Sizewell: a Sooty Shearwater north and a drake SURF SCOTER close south offshore.

Orfordness: a Black-throated Diver north, a Merlin along the beach and a Short-eared Owl over the Airfield.

Hollesley Marsh: three Shore Larks on the shingle ridge.

Landguard: two Pomarine Skuas, one Arctic Skua, a Short-eared Owl and two Purple Sandpipers.

November 1st

Minsmere: a first-winter Ring Ouzel on the field behind the visitor centre.
